It was for $10.15, and I’m very proud. I am now a paid, published author.
The Amazon image for my Kindle ebook: Outsourcing My Education
In fact, out of the 394,993 books for sale at the Kindle store, mine is squarely in the top third of sales, ranked 127,224th overall. (That’s what 32 sales since December 2007 will get you.) This puts me ahead of such baseball classics as “Baseball Haiku: The Best Haiku Ever Written About the Game” (at 152,411), but a good deal behind Alyssa Milano’s “Safe at Home: Confessions of a Baseball Fanatic” (at 86,118.) I guess I just can’t compete with Alyssa’s sparkling wit and charm (and witchery.)
Karen says I can’t quit my day job, but I’d like to thank all of you who helped make this possible. If you have Kindle and haven’t yet caught the excitement (and don’t feel like reading the whole thing for free on my website), please click on the picture above and hand your $1 to Amazon. I get $0.35 of every purchase, so you’re of course helping a good cause (me.)
Suggestions for the topic of my next book are welcome.
