I just got my first royalty check!

It was for $10.15, and I’m very proud.  I am now a paid, published author.

In fact, out of the 394,993 books for sale at the Kindle store, mine is squarely in the top third of sales, ranked 127,224th overall.  (That’s what 32 sales since December 2007 will get you.)  This puts me ahead of such baseball classics as “Baseball Haiku: The Best Haiku Ever Written About the Game” (at 152,411), but a good deal behind Alyssa Milano’s “Safe at Home: Confessions of a Baseball Fanatic” (at 86,118.)  I guess I just can’t compete with Alyssa’s sparkling wit and charm (and witchery.)
